Vitamin D
Injections
These vitamin D injections are available at £45 per injection.
Vitamin d helps regulate the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body. These nutrients are needed to keep bones, teeth and muscles healthy. From about late march/early april to the end of september, most people should be able to make all the vitamin d they need from sunlight. The body creates vitamin d from direct sunlight on the skin when outdoors.
But between october and early march we do not make enough vitamin d from sunlight. During the autumn and winter, you need to get vitamin d from your diet because the sun is not strong enough for the body to make vitamin d. But since it's difficult for people to get enough vitamin d from food alone, everyone (including pregnant and breastfeeding women) should consider taking a supplement of vitamin d during the autumn and winter.
Between late march/early april to the end of september, most people can make all the vitamin d they need through sunlight on their skin and from a balanced diet. Low levels of vitamin d are associated with depression, seasonal affective disorder, and schizophrenia.
Benefits of vitamin d injections include:
promotion of healthy bones and teeth supports brain health and immune and nervous systems regulation of insulin levels and supporting the management of diabetes supports lung function and cardiovascular health helps the body fight chronic illnesses like cancer and multiple sclerosis vitamin d is a fat-soluble vitamin.
Fat-soluble vitamins can build up in the body and are not as easily excreted as water-soluble vitamins. For this reason you can only receive a maximum of 3 vitamin d injections over a 12 month period, with at least 3 months between each treatment.
